Satan wants us to compare ourselves to others and belittle ourselves for our weaknesses. He wants us to forget that we have our own strengths that make us wonderful, even super women and mothers! The Lord said, "I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them." (Ether 12:27) I KNOW this is true. I know I can turn the weaknesses I see in myself as a wife and mother into strengths. So, instead of complaining that I don't have the same strengths as the cute mothers and women around me, I want to learn from them (from you!) and become a better me. Hence, I am starting a new blog. And on that new blog, I will survey a lot of other moms. Perhaps I can learn a small tip or trick from those who have strengths different from me, and then I can work on obtaining that trait myself. Maybe there'll be something there for you, too!
So, feel free to check it out:
I'll let you know when I get my first survey up there, but in the meantime, what are some questions you have for other moms? What desirable traits/skills/talents do you notice in the women around you? Is there a specific woman you want me to survey? Let me know.
Thanks,
Elizabeth
Ok, I totally can relate to feeling "the f word". For me, it all seems to stem from the feeling that there just isn't enough time in the day, so taking time to do something to make me feel better just seems to be last on my "to do" list. I am looking forward to checking out your new blog. Hopefully I can catch some tips to help me get out of my rut:)
